As part of my grad school life, I spent most of today interviewing 3rd and 4th grade children about evolution, and you know what?  They had a lot to say.  During a much-needed break, my friend Uyen congratulated me for being “the best hooper in the East Bay.”  Huh?  I had no idea.  I guess that’s what happens when I spend more than 24 hours offline!

As it turned out, I was named “Best Hoopdancer” in the East Bay Express’ “Best of the East Bay 2010” contest!  How exciting!!  The article can be found here, but I will still be looking for a hard copy to snail mail to my mom.  :)
